How automatic pickup point selection works

When pickup point selection happens after checkout on the Thank you page, a buyer can complete checkout without picking a point, for example by closing the page. Automatic pickup point selection handles those orders: after a delay you set, Atlas assigns the pickup point nearest to the buyer’s delivery address.

This is built in and requires no Shopify Flow setup. It is available on the Lite plan.

#How to enable it

1. Go to Atlas Pickup Points → Settings
2. Under Automatic pickup point selection, check Automatically select a pickup point
3. Set the Selection delay: how long to wait after an order is placed before selecting a pickup point automatically
4. Optionally, add tags for auto-assigned orders so they’re easy to find
5. Click Save

#What happens after assignment

Once a pickup point is assigned, the buyer can no longer change it themselves and would need to contact you. You can view and change the pickup point on the order in Shopify Admin at any time.
