How to select a pickup point on a draft order

Atlas Pickup Points supports pickup point selection on draft orders. There are three ways to do it, depending on whether the buyer or you select the pickup point and when. A pickup point can be added to any order regardless of its shipping method, but it is good practice to name the shipping method so it clearly refers to a pickup point.

#1. You select after converting the draft order

1. Create the draft order in Shopify Admin → Orders → Drafts.
2. Collect payment or mark the draft order as paid to convert it to a regular order.
3. Select the pickup point on the order using the Pickup point app block or the More actions menu. See How to view pickup point details on an order for both options.

#2. You select before converting the draft order

Use this flow only when a downstream integration needs the pickup point on the draft order before it becomes an order.

1. Create the draft order in Shopify Admin → Orders → Drafts.
2. Select the pickup point on the draft order using the Pickup point app block.
3. Collect payment or mark the draft order as paid to convert it to a regular order.

#3. Buyer selects during draft order checkout

1. Create the draft order in Shopify Admin → Orders → Drafts.
2. Send the buyer the checkout link.
3. The buyer selects a pickup point during checkout, just as they would in a normal checkout.
